Three Men Charged with Robbery

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested three men in connection with a robbery this past weekend.

On Sunday, February 16, 2014 around 3:30 a.m. two men wearing bandanas entered the Esso Gas Bar on Bloomfield Road in Chatham. The men demanded money from the cashier and were given an undisclosed amount of Canadian cash. The men fled in a vehicle waiting for them outside. The cashier was not injured.

Through investigation, police learned that the cashier was involved and he was arrested. The 21-year-old Chatham man has been charged with robbery. He was released pending a future court date.

Police identified the other two men and they were arrested by Waterloo Regional Police yesterday. Both 22-year-old Raleigh Township men have been charged robbery and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
