(HURON EAST, ON) – On Friday March 4, 2011 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Huron County OPP and West Region ERT, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on St. Charles Place Street in Vanastra.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cannabis marihuana bud and cannabis marihuana plants, along with offence related property. The estimated combined street value of the controlled substances is $7,480.00.
Jason CONNORS (40) of Vanastra is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of a controlled substance (cannabis marihuana) and production of a controlled substance (cannabis marihuana). He will answer to his charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 4, 2011. A second offender, a 31 year old female, will be facing the same charges at a later date. RM11022529
