(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) In the early morning hours of Monday March 07, 2011, Perth County OPP officers in Listowel were called to the secured Hydro One compound on Bright St. East in Listowel where the equipment yard had been entered.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 6 p.m. on Sunday March 06 and 12:45 a.m. on Monday March 07, unknown person(s) approached the two locked large gates that secure the yard and broke it open. The yard was entered and hydro trucks in the yard were ransacked, having tools and equipment removed. The culprit(s) used a vehicle to drive into the compound allowing the removal and transport of the stolen tools.
