(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) -On February 14, 2014 at approximately
11:20 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 109 near Wellington Road 10, Wellington North Township. A 2008 Nissan was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and the officer obtained a speed of 154 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on radar.
The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Leroy BRUBACHER age 22 of Mapleton Township is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on March 19, 2014 to answer to the charge.
