MALES ARRESTED AFTER POLICE RESPOND TO INCIDENT

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment with that assistance of the Norfolk County Crime Unit, Canine Unit, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a Charlotteville East Quarter Line Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, February 17, 2014 at approximately 6:19 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned citizen after attending an address to speak to the occupants of the property.

Through investigation it has been determined that a firearm was discharged during the course of the interaction with no injuries being reported.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at approximately 12:00 p.m., a search warrant was executed at the residence located on Charlotteville East Quarter Line Road and a firearm was subsequently recovered.

Charged with the following offences is 37 year old Richard Alfred KOZAK of Norfolk County, Ontario.

Discharge firearm with intent – Endanger life

Charged with Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose is 65 year old Richard Albert KOZAK of Norfolk County, Ontario.

Both will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe to answer to the charges.
