(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday the 19th of February 2014, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on County Road 62 in the Maynooth area. Investigation revealed that the male driver of the pickup truck stopped by police was not licenced.
49 year old George SCAIFE of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands has been charged with drive disqualified, drive suspended (2 counts) and having no currently validated permit for a motor vehicle. Mr. Scaife is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 15th of April 2014 in relation to the charge of drive disqualified. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 01st of April 2014 in relation to the drive suspended charges and the offence of having no currently validated permit.
