IMPAIRED DRIVER INVOLVED IN LATE AFTERNOON ROLLOVER

On February 19, 2014 at 3:58 pm Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle roll-over on Heritage just south of Highway #3 in the Municipality of Bayham.

At the time of the collision a Grey 2000 Pontiac Grand Am was travelling east on Highway and was in the process of merging onto Heritage Line when the vehicle made contact with the north curb causing the vehicle to travel over a snow bank and into the south ditch rolling onto its roof.

The driver, a 50 year old Bayham man, was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the collision. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation police arrested and charged Terrance ROBINSON, age 50, of the Municipality of Bayham with;

1) Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle

2) Possession of cannabis marihuana

3) Disqualified Driving

4) Refusal to provide breath samples

ROBINSON has been held in custody pending a show cause bail hearing being held this date February 20, 2014.
