(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Team has laid additional charges involving the illegal sale of alcohol.
During the afternoon of Friday February 21, 2014, officers observed a male subject purchase alcohol from the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) store in Sioux Lookout. Officers then observed the same male sell a bottle of alcohol to a group of persons behind the LCBO store.
When officers intervened, the accused proceeded to make a false statement to police, stating that the group had stolen the alcohol from him.
As a result of this incident, 39 year old Armand CUMMINGS of Sioux Lookout has been charged with unlawfully selling liquor contrary to the Liquor License Act and public mischief, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
CUMMINGS had also been charged with unlawfully selling liquor 10 days prior to this incident.
CUMMINGS was held in custody and will appear in Sioux Lookout bail court on February 24, 2014.
