On Sunday, February 16, 2014 at approximately 7:30 a.m., police were called to the area of Hamilton Road and Gore Road for a report of a stolen vehicle.
On Thursday February 20, 2014 at approximately 5:15 a.m., police responded to another report of a stolen vehicle in the area of Genevive Crescent and Victoria Drive.
In both occurrences, police discovered that the vehicle had been left unattended, the keys were in the ignition and the vehicle was running.
The London Police Service is reminding citizens of London that not only does it create an opportunity for the vehicle to be stolen it is also a By-Law offence to leave a vehicle in this state. See below for the local By-Laws.

PS-111 section 34 – Allow motor vehicle to stand unattended (with doors unlocked/ windows opened/ and key in ignition/in readily accessible location)
PS -15 Section 3.1 – Cause/permit vehicle to idle more than 2 minutes
