Arrest

On the 13th of February 2014, the Barrie Police attended a Nicolson Drive residence in response to a theft of natural gas. In a joint investigation with Enbridge Gas, the officers discovered that back on the 2nd of December of 2013, the gas had been turned off for non-payment. Sometime after the equipment had been tampered with and the gas was turned back on. On the 13th of December, Enbridge attended the residence and once again and shut off the gas and removed the improper hook up. On the 23rd of February 2014, the 36 year old resident turned himself into the police. He was charged with theft of gas under under $5,000.00 and mischief under $5,000.00.
