WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) -On February 23, 2014 at approximately 6:51 p.m., an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division Mount Forest Traffic Unit was patrolling the Town of Mount Forest. A 2013 Ford was observed on London Street South. The male driver showed signs of alcohol consumption and was arrested. He was brought to the North Wellington Operations Centre for testing.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Robert SCHWINDT age 49 of Wellington North Township has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 21, 2014 to answer to the charges.
