(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Central Drug Enforcement Unit and Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) with the assistance of front line officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the OPP recently conducted a search warrant at a residence in Collingwood.
On the 24th of February 2014, officers conducted a search warrant at a residence on Second Street which resulted in the seizure of marihuana, paraphernalia and some cash.
The warrant also led police to the arrest of two occupants of the residence, a 46 year-old female who is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of traficking and possession of cannabis marihuana. She is to appear in Collingwood court on the 1st of April 2014
Also arrested was a 16 year-old male who is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis marihuana and unauthorized possession of a weapon. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 3rd of April 2014 however cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
