BURGER KING BREAK AND ENTER

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break and enter that occurred at the Burger King located at 540 Broadway Street in Tillsonburg between 12:00 a.m. and 06:30 a.m. on February 27, 2014.

Entry was gained to the restaurant through the delivery door. Once in the restaurant, the thieves forced their way into a safe and removed approximately $2,385.44. The thieves made an unsuccessful attempt on a second safe.

The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant for suspicious vehicles and people. The public should try to get descriptions, licence plate numbers and direction of travel and report this immediately to their local police service. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
