Thefts From Vehicles

Thieves have been busy in Arnprior stealing valuables from vehicles overnight. Several reports were received from the Bell St., Ida St., and McLachlin St. area of town. Stolen items include a wallet, change and two GPS units. Motorists are reminded not only to lock your vehicle when not in use, but to remove valuables from inside your vehicle. Thieves are aware people hide wallets and other items in centre consoles and glove boxes. If you can’t afford to lose it, don’t leave it behind.

One male is facing charges after store security at No Frills in Renfrew arrested the male for failing to pay for items. On Wednesday February 26 at approximately 3:20pm OPP officers responded to the store where the male had been detained after stealing several razors. Robert PICARD 26 of Whitewater Region was charged with theft under $5,000. He was released on a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on April 16. Provincial Constable Carlvin Burgins investigated.

Provincial Constable Denys Baranovskiy is investigating after a quantity of cash was stolen from an office in the Kenwood Corporate Centre in Arnprior on Thursday February 27. There is a suspect and the investigation is continuing.
