(South Dundas) – On 28Feb14 at approximately 8:30pm, members of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police (SD&G OPP) were dispatched to assist the South Dundas Fire Department with a fully engulfed house fire on County Road 18, Municipality of South Dundas.
The residents of the house were not at home at the time of the fire and are safe. The fire is believed to have started in the garage and has been deemed not suspicious.
County Road 18 between Heritage Road and Flagg Road remain closed while the SD&G OPP conducts traffic control. The roadway is expected to be closed for another six hours while fire fighters continue to subdue the flames.
