(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – Members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to Camp Ipperwash around 3:00 p.m. on March 2, 2014 to a report of a male armed with a firearm.
While the investigation was ongoing the male who was alone seated inside a pickup truck died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The OPP contacted the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) who has invoked its mandate. Further inquiries should be directed to the SIU Communications at 1-416-622-2342.
