On February 11th 2014, a commercial break and enter was committed in the Midland area and a quantity of electronics were stolen. The Barrie Police Street Crime Drug Unit assisted with the investigation and on Saturday evening they arrested two Barrie males, ages 31 and 36. The males were in possession of several pieces of stolen property.
Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at a Barrie residence and additional stolen property was recovered. Also, 20 grams of cocaine and approximately $14,000 cash was found. One male was found to have no involvement and released unconditionally. The second male was held for a bail hearing and now faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
