(Smith Falls, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Technical Crime Unit and Smith Falls Police Service have charged a Smith Falls man following a two week online undercover child pornography investigation.
On March 4th, 2014 police executed a search warrant at a Smith Falls residence. As a result of this investigation, a computer and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.
David COVELL, age 38 years, of Smith Falls, Ontario is charged with one count of Make Available Child Pornography, one count of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Accessing Child Pornography and two counts of Breach Probation.
The accused is scheduled to attend a Bail Hearing today, March 4th, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
