(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Tuesday the 04th of March 2014, at approximately 2:15 a.m. Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a Honda car on Highway 62 in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. As a result of the vehicle stop, several charges have been laid.
27 year old Timothy DAY of Selwyn Township, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with:
Drive disqualified (4 counts)
Fail to comply with a probation order (2 counts)
Obstruct a peace officer
Operate a motor vehicle with no insurance
Mr. DAY was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, Ontario on Tuesday the 04th of March 2014. His next scheduled court appearance is at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Thursday March 06th 2014.
19 year old Danielle CROOKS of Selwyn Township, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with obstruct a peace officer. She was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 15th of April 2014.
