(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) suspended a driver’s license of a male who had driven to the Collingwood detachment.
Shortly after 10:15am on the 6th of March 2014 an officer investigated a male driver in the detachment parking lot. It was found that the male had driven to the detachment and was waiting for friend who was currently at detachment. Interactions with the male found that he was under the influence of alcohol and he was subjected to a breath test which resulted in an ‘alert’ reading, meaning he was within the warn range for drinking and driving.
As a result, the 49 year-old male from Clearview Township had his license suspended for 7 days.
