(MARMORA, ON) – On March 6, 2014 at 6 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Tactics and Rescue Unit, East Region Canine Unit and Central Hastings Detachment executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrant at a residence on Centre Line Road in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.
Investigators seized over 200 grams of dried marihuana bud, over 800 grams of marihuana shake, and a small quantity of prescription medication. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of over $2200. In addition thirteen firearms were seized.
As a result 54 year old Mark GRAY and 43 year old Hope MILLS of Marmora, ON were arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs. Mark GRAY faces additional charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Careless Use of a Firearm.
Both will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on April 10, 2014.
