(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Talbot Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Thursday, March 6, 2014 between 8:50 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., unknowns proceeded to remove a grey 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck from the parking lot of Great Lakes Physiotherapy.
At approximately 9:42 p.m., police received a call from a concerned citizen after three vehicles were observed travelling at a high rate of speed northbound on County Line Road. Two of the vehicles were described as grey or silver pickup trucks with a silver Grand Prix following.
Police received a secondary call after one of the pickup trucks left the roadway entering the ditch resulting in the vehicle rolling over.
The driver was observed exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot. The male is being described as having a ponytail, glasses and wearing blue coveralls.
Through the course of police investigation, it was determined that the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck involved in the collision had just been removed from a Sheridan Boulevard, Simcoe, Norfolk County address.
