(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 6, 2014, just after 1:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a collision involving a single motor vehicle on Highway 401 eastbound near Bloomfield Road.
The collision occurred when a Volkswagen vehicle travelling eastbound left the roadway, entered the centre median, then back across both eastbound lanes. The vehicle then struck a highway sign before it rolled and came to rest on the south side of the highway.
The driver, 29 year old Colin MCGHIE, from London, ON, has been charged with Careless Driving.
Minor injuries were reported on the driver and passenger of the vehicle.
