OPP INVESTIGATE THEFT OF EQUIPMENT FROM VEHICLE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding the public to protect their property and valuables against would be thieves after a vehicle entry was reported at a Grove Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, March 7, 2014, in the early morning hours, unknown suspects gained entry into the back of a locked pickup truck that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Once inside, unknowns proceeded to remove firefighting equipment which consisted of crème and white coloured bunker pants, grey coloured pants and jackets, black leather boots, black rubber boots with florescent stripes, rubber gloves, balaclavas and a grey coloured tool box that contained pliers, wrenches, screw drivers and sockets.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
