(Smiths Falls,ON.) – On the 9th of March 2014 Ontario Provincial Police, O.P.P., in Rideau Lakes Township received a call about a man damaging a car on Hwy 15 south of the town of Smiths Falls.
At around 1:30 p.m. two cars driving south on Hwy 15 became engaged in an exchange of words when one of the drivers produced what appeared to be a police badge toward the other driver.
The driver stopped and was approached by the driver showing the badge.
The driver approaching proceeded to cause damage to the stopped driver’s car, and then left the scene.
Officers arrived and proceeded to investigate the matter.
William DESCHAMPS, 37 years old of Richmond On., has been charged with Personating Peace Officer and Mischief to Property.
He is to appear at Brockville Provincial on 11th of April 2014.
