Theft

Late Tuesday evening the police were called to attend the Walmart Store on Bayfield St. regarding the theft of a large flat screen television. Upon arrival the officers were informed by store security that a male and female had walked out of the store with the television, their actions were witnessed by a store investigator who followed the suspects to a residence on Kozlov St. The officers were able to locate both suspects and afterwards the television set that they had stashed in the bushes at the rear of the home. A 25 year old Barrie resident and his 30 year old accomplice were both charged with theft under $5,000.00. The female was also charged with obstruct police as she was lying about her name. The male was released by way of a promise to appear, while the female remained in custody pending a bail hearing.
