(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday the 11th of March 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Lower Faraday Road and Cameron Road in Wollaston Township. Police attended the location where they located a male driver in a Suzuki SUV. Investigation revealed that the male was a disqualified driver and as a result he was arrested and taken into custody. A quantity of drugs was seized from the male.
20 year old Cody PURTELL of no fixed address has been charged with:
Possession of a schedule 1 drug
Fail to comply with a probation order (4 counts)
Drive disqualified (2 counts)
He was released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 22nd of April 2014.
