(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police detachment, Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau (POIB), Kenora Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Kenora Drug Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the North End of Kenora on Tuesday March 11, 2014. Police located and seized approximately 1 pound of marihuana, Canadian currency and a rifle. The estimated street value of the drugs is around $3,000.
As a result of this investigation, Patrick SAVOYARD, age 48 of Kenora has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Marihuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking, Trafficking Schedule II-Substance Cannabis Marihuana under 3 kg contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Gloria SAVOYARD, age 45, has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II substance with the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Shane SAVOYARD, age 18, has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the purpose of Trafficking-under 3 kg contrary to the CDSA and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code.
Patrick SAVOYARD to appear in court on March 17, 2014, Shane and Gloria SAVOYARD are to appear on May 8, 2014 to answer to the charges.
