(ST.MARYS, ON) On Tuesday March 29, 2011 around 2 p.m. the Perth County OPP high school resource officer in St.Marys was checking a park area near the St.Marys District and Vocational Institute. In the park the officer located a number of youths and detected the odour of freshly burned marijuana. One of the youths was found to be in possession of a baggie of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of this incident a seventeen year old male from St.Marys was arrested and one of his parents was called to the scene. The youth was released on an Appearance Notice for a charge of Possession of Cannabis Marijuana. He will have to appear in Stratford Court on April 21, 2011, to answer to this charge.
