(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in the driver being charged with two offences.
On March 16, 2014 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling on Cambray Road near Opmar Road and noted that the validation tag was expired. The officer stopped the vehicle and further investigation revealed that the vehicle was not insured.
As a result of the investigation Trevor STEWART, 43 years of age, of Woodville, was charged with driving without insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and with having an expired validation sticker, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
