(Oro-Medonte, ON) – On Saturday March 15th, 2014 at 4:00 am officers from the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a youth that may be intoxicated he was drowsy and vomiting at the Macs convenience store located at highway 11 in Oro-Medonte Twp.
Officers located a 17 year old male from Barrie at the store and it was clear that he had been drinking. He was not wearing footwear or socks and was also shirtless. Paramedics attended to the accused who was less than co-operative.
The accused was transported to Barrie OPP where he was lodged under protest and charged for Being Intoxicated in Public and Consuming Liquor under 19 years of age. The accused was released to his family at noon, after he sobered up.
