(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating the theft of a wallet from a Colborne Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, March 16, 2014, at approximately 11:19 a.m., police responded to the Max Convenience variety store after a wallet had been reported stolen.
Through investigation it has been determined that an elderly resident had been at the lotto booth inside the store and subsequently left their wallet on the counter. Upon returning the wallet had been removed.
Video surveillance captured a female removing the wallet from the lotto booth counter and then exiting the store.
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
