(CALEDON, ON) – On March 13, 2014 members from the Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) executed a warrant at a Village of Bolton residence. The warrant recovered a quantity of drugs, believed to cocaine, crack cocaine, Oxycodone and Crystal Methamphetamine and a variety of prescription drugs. Police also seized 2 conducted energy weapons (stun guns) from the residence.
David R. BEDARD, 40, from Bolton was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Trafficking, 7 counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, 2 counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon. The accused further faces a charge of Disobey Court Order for possession of a prohibited weapon.
The accused was held in custody overnight and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on March 17, 2014.
