Male Arrested for Failing to Stop for Police

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Bracebridge detachment members arrested one male near Nichol’s Road, Bracebridge after not stopping for police in the Huntsville area.

On March 18, 2014 at approximately 11:30 pm a stolen vehicle was being driven on Highway 11 in the Huntsville area at a high rate of speed. When OPP officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the male driver refused to stop and began driving southbound on Highway 11.

A short time later the vehicle was observed in the Bracebridge area and was followed to a driveway on Nichol’s Road. The male driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested by a Bracebridge OPP officer.

Nickolas EISENBACH a 32-year-old male from Sturgeon Falls has been charged with

CC 253(1)(a) Driving While Ability Impaired
CC 354(1)(a) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (2 counts)
CC 733.1(1) Fail to Comply with Probation Order
HTA 216 Fail to stop for Police
HTA 53(1) Driving while under suspension (2 counts)
HTA 41.2(13) Drive motor vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device

The male has been held in police custody and will attend Bracebridge court the morning of March 19, 2014 to answer to his charges.
