(Oro-Medonte, ON) – Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating an assault that occurred Thursday March 20th at 7:45 am at a Shanty Bay area residence.
A victim was transported to Royal Victoria Hospital with non-life threatening injuries
Barrie OPP detachment members were assisted by Central Region Tactical and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Canine Unit (K9) as part of the initial investigation.
The suspect described as a white male, with a slight build in his late 20’s approximately 5’ 8†with a narrow face and grey stubble. The suspect was wearing a grayish/blue toque and a mid-length jacket, possibly blue in colour.
The Barrie OPP Crime Unit members with assistance from Central Region Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) are continuing this investigation.
