(TYENDINAGA, ON) – On the morning of March 21, 2014, the Tyendinaga Police Service, assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau-Drug Enforcement Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in Tyendinaga Territory.
As a result of the search warrant, police seized 111 grams of cannabis marihuana and a quantity of prescription drugs. The street value of the seizure is estimated at $1,415.
29 year-old Matthew BOLTON of Tyendinaga Territory was arrested and faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts) and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 counts).
BOLTON was released on a Promise to Appear before an Officer in Charge and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville, on April 24th, 2014
