(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A local male faces drinking and driving related charges after his vehicle was observed by officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On March 23, 2014 while on patrol, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP observed a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Kawartha Lakes Road 8 and Stinson’s Bay Road. When the officers approached the vehicle, the driver was slumped over but did eventually respond to police.
While speaking with the driver it was determined that he had consumed alcohol. As a result of the investigation Robert ROBINSON, 58 years of age, of Fenelon Falls, was arrested and charged with having care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired and with having care or control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on April 17, 2014.
