On March 2, 2014, unknown suspect(s) stole a gold BMX bike and green metal wagon from a residence on Snow Avenue in Blenheim. Through investigation, police determined that the woman was in possession of both items.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning, police located the woman on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and she was arrested. Police further learned that the woman was currently bound by a condition to reside at a specific address in Blenheim, however she admitted that she was no longer living there. The 18-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and failing to comply. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
