(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON)- On Thursday March 27, 2014 at 1:36 a.m. a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Enforcement Team (HET) conducted a traffic stop on Exeter Road in relation a suspended driver. During the course of an investigation police located a quaintly of marijuana. The driver was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the London OPP detachment.
As a result of an investigation police have charged the driver Nicolas CHARLEBOIS, age 28 of London, ON with:
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg as per Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA)
Driving while under suspension as per Section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
The accused was remanded into police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London court room to speak to the charges. The street value of the seized marijuana has been estimated to be at $3300.
