(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision at a Highway 3, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, March 28, 2014 at approximately 9:33 a.m., Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Norfolk County Paramedics were dispatched to a Highway 3 address for a motor vehicle collision.
Through investigation it has been determined that a Toyota car was travelling westbound on Highway 3 and an Acura SUV was travelling eastbound when both vehicles collided.
The operator of the Toyota, a 54 year old male was airlifted to a Hamilton area hospital with life threatening injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased by attending physicians.
The deceased has been identified as 54 year old Martin Lea BARBER of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is continuing.
