(OXFORD COUNTY, ON.). On March 30, 2014 the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call from a concerned citizen on King Street East in Ingersoll who reported hearing what they believed to be a male yelling for help, shortly after 6:00 p.m. yesterday.
OPP responded to search the area along with Emergency Response Team (ERT), Ingersoll Fire department, Woodstock Fire department and Oxford Emergency Medical Services (EMS). A thorough and complete search was conducted of the area which includes the Thames River.
There were no reports of anyone in distress or missing locally or from any surrounding areas. The search was concluded with negative results.
Police are asking for anyone with relevant information or who may have been in the King Street East or Thames River area at the time in question to call the Oxford OPP at 519-485-6554.
