(HALIBURTON, ON) – On March 31, 2014 as a result of an on-going police investigation and an outstanding warrant, officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a male party. The male is facing numerous charges in relation to a series of violent events that have taken place dating back to July 2013. The incidents range in severity from causing a disturbance and fighting to brandishing weapons and threatening death. As a result Ryan SUTTON age 27 from Highlands East Ontario has been charged with the following:
Assault – 5 counts
Assault Causing Bodily Harm
Assault with a Weapon
Uttering Threats – 2 counts
Cause Disturbance
Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 2 counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing scheduled on April 01, 2014 in Lindsay Ontario.
