MISCHIEF TO STOP SIGNS

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – On Monday March 31, 2014 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received three reports of mischiefs to stop signs in Alnwick Haldimand Township and the Municipality of Trent Hills.

A Northumberland County roads employee contacted OPP to report that three stop signs appeared to have gunshot blasts on them. An officer met with the employee and was advised that two stops signs were at Coyle Road and Concession 9 both at County Road 45, Alnwick Haldimand and the third at the 7 th line at County Road 33 in Trent Hills. The estimated replacement value of each sign is $100.

OPP are continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information regarding the persons responsible for the mischief to these signs or has information regarding persons using firearms to commit this damage should immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the Cobourg Detachment at 1-905-372-5421.
