(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday March 28, 2014, around 5 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to an address on Line 51 east of Perth Road 119, where a male walking his dog near his house had shots fired in his direction.
Officers attended the scene and heard gun shots coming from the area west of where the complainant resides. Males were observed shooting a rifle at a target from the side of a residence along Line 52 west of Perth Road 119. Shots were fired in the direction of the complainant’s residence. Officers arrested four males and seized nine rifles in addition to ammunition.
David NIEKOLEY (20) of the Municipality of West Perth, Martin NIEKOLEY (24) of the Municipality of West Perth, Isaac NIEKOLEY (21) of the Township of Perth South, and Peter NIEKOLEY (30) of the Township of Perth East were all charged with “careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition†contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford to answer to the charges.
