RACING CHARGE ON HIGHWAY 6

(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) -On March 31, 2014 at approximately 9:53 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was watching southbound traffic on Highway 6, near Concession 4, Puslinch Township. A 1999 Volkswagen was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and the officer obtained a speed of 153 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

James CARERE age 18 of Guelph is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on April 16, 2014 to answer to the charge.
