David PARRINDER – Careless Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male being charged with a careless driving offence.

On March 31, 2014 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle that was travelling at 129 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 near Hwy 7A. At the time of the stop the officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol and a road side test was conducted.

As a result of the investigation the driver was charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. David PARRINDER, 47 years of age, of Washburn Island, faces a fine of $490.00. The accused registered a warn on the road side test and subsequently had his driver’s licence suspended for 3 days.
