(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 4, 2014 at approximately 11:10 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and was in the ditch at the intersection of Whitelaw Road and Niska Road in Guelph-Eramosa Twp.
Officers attended the scene and observed a 2002 Toyota Corolla in the ditch with the lights on and engine running. Police spoke with the male driver who was still seated behind the steering wheel and determined that he had been drinking alcohol.
Thanh Tich VO aged 57 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 25, 2014 to answer to the charges. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
