(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 8, 2014 at approximately 7:02 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a 2010 Mazda and a transport truck at the intersection of Brock Road and Nicholas Beaver Road, Puslinch Township.
The female driver of 2010 Mazda left the scene and was followed by the other involved driver to a nearby dead end. Police arrived at the scene and spoke with the female driver who displayed signs of alcohol consumption. A Roadside Screening Device test was performed which resulted in a fail. She was transported to the South Wellington Operations Centre (Rockwood) for further testing.
Lana KUPERY age 43 of Hamilton has been charged with;
Over 80 mgs – Criminal Code
Careless Driving – Highway Traffic Act (H.T.A.)
Fail To Remain – H.T.A.
She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 29, 2014 to answer to the charges. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
