(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON) -Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is at the scene of a collision that occurred on Highway #2 (Road 68) at approximately 06:45 a.m. today.
The collision was between a dump truck and motor vehicle. The female driver of the vehicle was extricated and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. As a result of the collision, Highway #2 is closed between the 19th Line and 31st Line. A detour route is in place.
OPP, Thamesford fire department and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are all assisting at this location.
The Ministry of Environment has been notified of the transmission fluid and oil spill. Highway #2 will remain closed for the clean-up.
OPP is reminding drivers to drive according to road and weather conditions and arrive at destinations safely.
