(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit along with assistance of members from the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police Detachment (OPP) have charged a woman with drug offences. The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the McGarry Township area. It culminated with the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on Waite Avenue in Virginiatown.
Seized as a result of the search were methamphetamine and marihuana. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on April 11, 2014.
Charged is Melissa FRANCOEUR age 26 of Virginiatown with two counts Possession of a Controlled Substance. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on June 26, 2014
